Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2, 2026
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using the InHitch iOS app or web dashboard (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
InHitch is a rotation-tracking tool for field workers and the companies that employ them. Features include hitch calendars, travel logging, expenses and receipts, certifications and uploaded cert documents, crew/shift logs with photos, schedule requests and manager approvals, push notifications and Live Activity / Dynamic Island updates, team management, and sub-manager delegation. We may add, change, or remove features without notice.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
- You must be 13 or older. Organizations using InHitch on behalf of workers warrant that those workers are 13+ and have consented.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to break the law or violate someone's rights.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attack the Service.
- Resell or sublicense the Service without our written consent.
- Upload data you do not have the right to share.
5. Your content and files
You keep ownership of the data and files you put into InHitch - hitches, expenses, notes, certification documents, expense receipts, and crew/shift-log photos. You grant us a limited license to host, copy, transmit, process, and display that content only as needed to operate the Service for you and your organization. You confirm you have the right to upload anything you submit. You can delete your content, or request its deletion, as described in Section 8.
6. Organizations, managers, and sub-managers
If you join or are added to an organization, the account that owns it can see your assignments, jobsite and travel details, certifications and their uploaded documents, expense receipts, crew/shift logs and photos, and your schedule requests, and can approve or deny those requests. An owner may delegate scoped approval authority to one or more sub-managers, who can act within the scope they are granted. Managers do not see workers' personal pay or earnings configuration. A sub-manager's delegated authority ends when their account is deleted. If you use InHitch as part of your employment, your employer's policies may also govern your use.
7. Push notifications
With your permission, InHitch sends push notifications and Live Activity / Dynamic Island updates (for example, rotation reminders, day-counter rollovers, and approval alerts). You consent to receiving these while the permission is enabled, and you can turn them off at any time in iOS Settings.
8. Plans and payment
Workers always use InHitch for free. Managers and organizations start on a free tier (up to 5 seats - 4 crew plus 1 admin, with 1 jobsite and 1 fleet) and can upgrade to a paid plan for more seats and features: Pro Starter and Pro Growth are sold through Apple In-App Purchase, and Enterprise is available by contract. Exact pricing, seat counts, and terms for paid plans are presented at the point of purchase. Paid subscriptions purchased through Apple are billed and managed by Apple under your App Store account.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time in-app (Settings → Delete Account) or by emailing support@inhitch.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that pose a security risk. On termination, your personal data and uploaded files are deleted within 30 days except where law requires retention. If you are a manager or organization owner, deleting your own account does not delete the shared organization or the workers' and crew's data you oversee - that data is preserved for another administrator, as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. InHitch is not a payroll, tax, or legal advice service. Hitch calendars and pay estimates are tools, not authoritative records - verify with your employer. Certification and expiry tracking, manager approvals, and acknowledgments are operational aids, not authoritative compliance or legal records: always verify certifications with the issuing bodies, and payroll, tax, and employment decisions rest with the employer.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, InHitch is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or USD $100 if you paid nothing.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, announced by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas.
